How are you disabled? I’m trying to get on disability for my school as well because I have two chronic illnesses.

I have multiple mental illnesses and endometriosis.

IDK how it works at your school, but what I did was go to my school’s centre for students with disabilities, ask them for the paperwork necessary to have my disabilities recognized by the school, and then had my doctor fill out the paperwork and sign it. Then I was assigned an advisor by the centre, and met with my profs to let them know about my accommodation needs (though next semester I won’t have to, since the centre for students with disabilities will just send them a form letter informing them of my status instead).

But different schools have different classifications for accommodation and stuff. I get, like… the barest minimum accommodation - extensions, extra time for exams, a bit of a more flexible schedule, I can use my computer to take notes in classes where the prof has specified students can’t use their computers. So for anything more than that - like I know my school sometimes hires & pays for aides for students - the process might be more complicated/difficult.
